Mother & Child Nutrition Workshop was organized in collaboration with Pınar Institute and Yaşar University on 5 September 2019 at Yaşar University Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Department Application Kitchen. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sibel Sönmez, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Seda Genç, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Eylem E. Fadıloğlu and Chef Emre Şimşek attended the event, where mothers prepared healthy snacks for their children. Ege University Faculty of Education, Department of Basic Education Faculty Member Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sibel Sönmez gave a presentation on "The Importance of Nutrition in Child Development" and while mothers learned new information about healthy nutrition, children designed aprons for their mothers.

After receiving their aprons, the mothers prepared healthy snacks in the kitchen under the guidance of Chef Emre Şimşek from Yaşar University Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Department. While the mothers were in the kitchen, the children learned the importance of nutrition and active living by having fun. Each child prepared their mother's plate and served the healthy snacks to their mothers.

20 January 2022, the second Mother & Child Nutrition Workshop was held in the Practice Kitchen of Yaşar University Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Department. Pınar Dairy and Yaşar United Marketing employees or their spouses volunteered to take part in the event, and fathers also participated. With the participation of fathers in the workshop, the name of the workshop was updated as "Family Nutrition Workshop". In the workshop led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sibel Sönmez and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Seda Genç, parents prepared healthy snacks for their children.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sibel Sönmez, Lecturer at Ege University Faculty of Education, Department of Basic Education, had a conversation with children about healthy nutrition. While the parents were in the kitchen, the children designed surprise aprons for them. The apron designs were based on the concept of healthy eating and family. Families prepared oatmeal raisin cookies and green and red smoothies for the children under the guidance of Chef Belgin Bulgan.
